Fixed the van

Hi Jessie!
I talked w/ Bro. Kincaid on my way home from work tonight, and he asked how you are doing.  It was fun to tell him about your art work and the way you are teaching people from all over the world.  He was surprised that you are teaching someone from Spain while you serve in Canada.  The Lord truly moves in mysterious ways.  It will be really interesting to see what missionary work - and life - looks like when this pandemic is finally over.  I suspect some things that we assumed would never change will in fact be totally different.
We love praying for you and hope this weekend is filled with meaningful experiences and opportunities to share God's love with those around you, whether physically or virtually.
Much love,
Dad

I had so much planned to do today, and somehow the day raced away.  I used it well and accomplished some of the important things that needed to be done, but there is plenty left for Monday.  I worked hard all day.  There's not a whole lot more to tell about today.

Thankful: The Honda had an electrical problem that killed batteries.  We had it towed to the mechanic to figure out what the problem was.  It turned out to be an inexpensive part that was easy to replace.  For about $135 the problem was found and fixed.  That's a very tender mercy.

Ministering: For the past several days I have meant to send a text to Evan Clements just to say hello.  But I keep thinking of it when I couldn't send it.  Today about 3:00 pm I got a text from him that he was driving past my office, thought of me, and wanted to say hello.  He beat me to it!  So on my way home I called him and visited for a few minutes.  It was nice to talk with him.  Then I called Robert Kincaid and talked with him too.  He's staying busy with construction projects for family and neighbors.  It was nice to talk to both of my former counselors.

More later…

Flash-back Friday.  We are good at doing hard things!
